Swiss quality 'Swiss Made' - Lumena brings light into the dark and provides rooms and facilities with daylight. Natural sunlight is actively and dynamically directed from outside into the interior. Lumena daylight solutions are in demand and in operation worldwide.
Daylight can be directed into any building or dark room. Lumena is known for unique daylight systems and offers comprehensive and high-quality system solutions. Customers and companies from all over the world benefit from the specialists’ many years of experience and know-how. The product range is broad.
Heliostats for natural light are simpler solutions for illuminating dark rooms. Heliostats follow the sun and direct the light specifically into the interior of the building. Valuable daylight spreads.
To provide rooms on lower floors with daylight, Lumena has developed the unique “Sunatube” system. Sunatube is a revolutionary system for directing natural sunlight from the roof or façade into the interior. The Sunatube light tube provides sunlight to places that do not have direct access to the roof or an exterior wall. Even lower lying rooms, which do not receive enough daylight through the window, can be illuminated with natural light thanks to Sunatube. Dark apartments or buildings can be illuminated from sunrise to sunset.
The Sunportal (THE SUNPORTAL) for underground daylight allows light to be transferred over long distances and in any direction. Highly reflective parabolic mirrors, which track the sun, collect the light and guide it via pipes into lower-lying rooms. Infrared and UV radiation can also be transported.
Lumena has already implemented many international daylight projects. More and more customers worldwide are relying on Lumena’s systems. Lumena offers solutions for industry (such as logistics, production or exhibition halls, underground parking facilities, etc.) and systems for installation in, for example, single and multiple family homes, schools, underground car parks or extensions.
For more than 20 years, our specialists have been dealing with daylight control. So we have naturally acquired a very broad know-how. This specialist knowledge is now in great demand worldwide. Lumena travels globally and installs the technically high-quality applications in the most diverse countries of the world. Finally, Lumena daylight solutions ensure greater health and well-being through natural light in all rooms. Lumena brings daylight everywhere. Even in underground parks and gardens.

A dynamic heliostat was developed in collaboration with the artist Robert Kessler for the interactive artwork “yes to innovation” at Roche’s offices in Penzberg. The heliostat casts the sun along predefined tracks on the north facade of a building. When a visitor sets foot on the platform of the artwork at the front of the building, the heliostat pivots to the centre of the artwork and bathes the protagonist in bright sunlight.

The acrylic dome catches the daylight and directs it into the apartment via mirrored light pipes. A diffusion lens distributes the sunlight in the room. Thus the penthouse apartment has brilliant sunshine.
